Swansea Home Sales Range From $240,000 To $650,000 In Late July

Swansea recorded 15 property transfers between July 10 and Aug. 8, but only eight disclosed a sale price, ranging from $240,000 to $650,000 with a median of $429,000. The month's top sale was 700 Locust St. at $650,000, sold by the estate of Joseph R. Sousa to Marcos Mendes Silva. Nearly half of all recorded transfers, seven of 15, were trust, estate or family transfers with no price disclosed, limiting how much the overall count reflects open-market activity. No street had more than one sale, and the lowest disclosed price, $240,000, was an LLC-to-LLC transfer on Lynch Way.
