Swansea Library Wraps Summer Reading Kick-Off as June Closes Out

A slow Saturday finds Swansea without new press releases, school announcements, or commercial-outlet coverage — though the public library's summer programming remains active heading into the final days of June.

The Swansea Free Public Library kicked off its summer season this week, with the Summer Reading Kick-Off featuring Mr. Vinny the Bubble Guy and watermelon games drawing families to 69 Main Street. An author visit with Steven Manchester took place Thursday, June 25, at 6 p.m. The library's full calendar is available at swansealibrary.org for residents looking for upcoming programs through the summer months.

The library is open Monday through Thursday, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Friday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.; and Saturday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Residents can reach staff at (508) 674-9609.
